Privacy Policy for Hong Kong Yatra
We kindly ask you to take a moment to familiarize yourself with the following policies before proceeding with your tour package. It is important to us that you are aware of these terms to ensure a smooth and enjoyable travel experience.
- Driver Waiting Time: The waiting time for pick-up is limited to first 30 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time. If the customer is delayed beyond this time, an overtime waiting charge of HKD 550 will be applied for every hour or part thereof. The customer will be responsible for paying this charge directly to the company.
- Guest Responsibilities: Please note that the vehicle’s license plate and driver information will be provided in advance. On the day of use, it is the guest’s responsibility to directly contact the driver. Failure to do so may result in exceeding the allotted time, which will be treated as overtime and managed accordingly.
Tip: Hong Kong airport provides complimentary Wi-Fi for passengers. If you encounter any connectivity issues, you can try your luck by seeking Wi-Fi access at nearby convenience stores or cafes.
- It is important to keep in mind that the driver’s waiting time is limited. To avoid unnecessary waiting charges or potential disruptions to your itinerary, we kindly ask that you make every effort to arrive on time. Please designate one main contact person for communication with the driver during the coach rental process.
- According to Hong Kong Government’s new law, “Product Eco-responsibility (Amendment) Bill 2023”, effective from 22nd April 2024, hotels are not allowed to provide disposable toiletries and in-room plastic bottled water to guests.
- No-Show Policy: If the customer is delayed and does not arrive for the scheduled pick-up, it will be considered a “no-show.” The service provider will wait for a maximum of 10-15 minutes from the scheduled pick-up time. If the customer fails to arrive within this timeframe, it will be considered a no-show, and no refund or rescheduling will be provided.
Changes to Pick-up Time: If there are any changes to the scheduled pick-up time, the customer must notify the service provider 3 hours in advance. Depending on the availability and feasibility of accommodating the new pick-up time, the service provider will make reasonable efforts to make the necessary arrangements. However, changes are subject to availability, and we as service providers do not guarantee the ability to accommodate new pick-up times.
- Baggage Restrictions: Each passenger can only carry 1 suitcase and 1 handbag. Any additional luggage may incur extra charges. If you have additional luggage that requires an extra car, please note that there will be an additional cost associated with the arrangement.
- Cleaning Fee: A cleaning fee of HKD 750 will be charged in cases where a passenger vomits or causes damage to the car due to eating and drinking.
- Redemption Information:
- Present your QR code/voucher on paper or on your phone to enter directly.
- Round Trip QR Codes: Use the same QR Code to travel to and from the designated station.
- Set your phone’s screen brightness to its highest setting before scanning the QR code
- To prevent unauthorized use, please do not share the QR code with others.
- No Refund for Unutilized Services: Once your tour package is confirmed, refunds will not be provided for any services that are not utilized. Any Changes to itinerary will not be accepted (or could incur additional charges), as it is confirmed before the package is confirmed by the client.
- Natural Disasters and Calamities: In the unfortunate event of natural disasters or calamities, cancellation of the tour package is not permitted. In extreme cases of inclement weather (such as thunderstorms, typhoons, or black rain) or unforeseen tour situations, Hongkongyatra reserves the right to modify the tour itinerary and arrangements.
- Luggage: Each passenger can carry one large and one small luggage item. Additional luggage may result in extra charges or require separate arrangements.
- Responsibility for Travelers: Every tour participant must carry a valid passport and identification throughout the journey. Please ensure that you have these documents with you at all times.
- Security and Customs Issues: Hongkongyatra cannot be held responsible for any problems caused to travellers who are detained by security due to identification issues or face rejection by customs officials.
- Ferry Ticket Policies: All ferry tickets have fixed timing schedules and are non-resellable, non-refundable, and non-cancellable. The ticket is valid only on the specified date and time (if applicable).
- Hotel Check-in Policies: Please refer to the hotel policy regarding check-in times, bedding configurations, early check-ins, and late check-ins. While hotels will do their best to accommodate your preferences, these requests are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
- No-Show Policy: All Bookings are Non-Refundable and cannot be amended or modified. If you don’t arrive at your hotel or property, you will be treated as a No-Show and incur a charge of 100% of the booking value (Hotel policy).
- Deportation by Immigration: If guests are deported by Hong Kong, Macau, or Shenzhen Immigration, the full package cost will be charged, and no refund will be provided for unused services such as hotels, tickets, and attraction fees.
- Personal Belongings: Passengers are responsible for any loss or damage to their belongings during transfers, pick-up, drop-off, or while on the tour.
- Hotel Security Deposit: Upon check-in at the hotel, please be prepared to provide a cash note or credit card for the security deposit.
- Tipping Policy: The tour package price includes tipping for guides and drivers. If guests are satisfied with the service provided by the guide and driver and wish to express their gratitude further, they may offer extra gratuity at their discretion.
- Packed Food Arrangements: We can arrange packed food for the group upon arrival, departure and during the tour, if it’s available and at an additional cost.
- Major Delays: In the event of major delays, such as flight delays or cancellations, it is important to notify us as soon as possible. This will allow us to make necessary arrangements based on the updated schedule. Passengers are advised to inform us promptly to avoid inconvenience.
